X360ce xinput test not connected4/11/2024 ![]() But I found a strange solution, similar to yours but I made the files on my own PC just outside "Program Files". I tried on another PC and it's still the same, the PC ce recognise the controller but x360ce cannot find it, grey box. Regardless of what I pick, next time I open x360ce it says "game file has become corrupted", even if I click "reset and continue" nothing is fixed and the same thing will happen. And after that it says that "unhandled exception has occured in your application" and to click either "continue" or "quit". I get the message that dll is missing, then it automatically downloads dll. I suppose there's no way to completly uninstall the x360 simulator so that you can reinstall it from scratch.Īdditional Info: After a fresh install of x360ce, if I go "game settings" and select "apply/syncronize settings", no matter where. Maybe something was broken when I downloaded that xinput1_3.dll from the internet, although I downloaded the xinput1_3.dll because x360ce wasn't working and there was a "missing xinput1_3.dll" error, but after I downloaded it that was the first time when x360ce kept opening and closing. I don't know what could be the issue, any suggestions what to do? ![]() Then restart x360ce.exe.Īlready done it, it works on Control Panel, it can be calibrated, but x360ce.exe still won't find it, there is still a grey square. Then press OK to exit CP Game Controllers. Then in CP Game Controllers, select a controller, and press Properties to test and calibrate your controller. Select your preferred device, if more than one is listed, by clicking the down arrow. If no controllers are listed in “Installed Game Controllers”, a device driver may need to be installed, or the controller is not plugged in properly. Press the Start Orb, and search for joy.cpl to run CP Game Controllers. If you have a grey or red square: try Control Panel Game Controllers. Then run Control Panel Game Controllers, see above for what to do. Also, rebooting your computer might help. Unplug your controller, then plug it back in, maybe through a different USB plug. If you have a grey square, exit x360ce.exe. So being grey, my controller isn't detected. (b) If there is a RED SQUARE, and the picture of a XBOX 360 controller is greyed, your controller has been detected, but there is a problem. (a) If there is a GREY SQUARE, and the picture of a XBOX 360 controller is greyed, your controller has not been detected. The only problem is with x360ce as it cannot find the controllers that are already working and are recognised by the computer. My drivers - they are all the latest version. My computer - they recognise my controllers. When I clicked run as adminsitrator it stopped looping, but I never had to run it as administrator before.īut the grey box was still there, x360ce still can't find my controllers. I tried to again delete it and redownload it, but the same thing started to happen: open and close in an infinite loop. x360ce kept opening and closing, it opens and closes, repeatedly. ![]() I looked on the internet for xinput1_3.dll and placed it in the same directory as the game executable. I used to have xinput1_3.dll on the old x360ce as it was created automatically. I would get an error about a missing xinput1_3.dll. So I deleted x360ce and downloaded the lastest version from the internet, I think this only made it worse. It was the same controllers I used to play with. But when I tried to play again a few days ago it couldn't find my controllers anymore. I used to be able to play various games with x360ce: Trine, Grid, Dirt, Overlord, etc. I tried everything I found on the internet but to no avail. X360ce will not recognise any of my controllers anymore, it's not a red box, it's a grey box.
